APPEAL FOR CSR FUND SCHOLARSHIP TO NEEDY & MERITORIOUS STUDENTS
I am Dr. Jameela S, and I represent Williams group of education consisting of Williams International College and Williams International PU College.
The institution was initiated by my late father Mr. Sulaiman, whose’s passion was to make after-school learning applied and qualitative to help students.

It was started in 2005 by my late father Mr. M. Sulaiman, and I have taken up the task from him. Our institution is 19 years old and run on a boot strap basis. We have a PUC wing and Undergraduate and Postgraduate wing catering to science, commerce, Management and computer applications. We have around 600 students under our fold and wish to extend it to 1000 & above in a couple of years.
One of the glaring issues in the Indian education system is the disparity between the costs and the quality of education. The impact of rising cost on education includes increased inequality, reduced access to education for meritorious and needy students of disadvantaged groups and financial stress and barrier for many families for basics education of PUC, Undergraduate and Postgraduate for Aspiring students.
The University grants commission pushes higher and basics degree educational institutions to diversify revenue streams through private and / or corporate sector funding raising namely through Philanthropic CSR Scholarship donations. Out of 29000 Crores CSR funds, nearly 44% are spent on educational infrastructure and scholarship funding for meritorious and needy students. Praneet Mangale Managing Partner M/s Hindustan Engineers Ltd. Director of BELGAUM Aluminum Industries Pvt. Ltd. Partner in A.S.Mangale foundry and also a trustee estimated that 60% of the costs of educational institutions are directed towards teaching & non-teaching staff salaries.
Our approach to address this problem is by approaching Philanthropic corporates and requesting them to magnanimously donate to our scholarship programs so that, the needy and meritorious Students are not left behind in their pursuit of education. This will help us to increase the intake of students by making it affordable for them and ensure quality and intent of education is not sidetracked.
The objective includes:
1) Reduce the disparities in educational outcomes between different social groups
2) Ensure all students have access to quality education regardless of their background
3) Increase students’ retention and Eliminating dropouts in college education
4) Increase the compatibility of students with corporate requirements
Thus, this letter to your esteemed organization, already in CSR activities from the Philanthropic points of view, is with a request to fund 50 students per year involving a cost of approximately 20 lakhs per year. This expected target is flexible to suit your preferences.
We have plans to expand & house our BBA & BCA streams to another premises as per AICTE stipulations. The new premises is expected to be of an acre housing initially Ground plus 2 floors with at least 8 classrooms, Library, Auditorium, computer Room, Playground & with all facilities. The existing premises will cater to PUC Science & Commerce, B. Com & M.Com students.
We plan to introduce many more vocational courses to empower students & others to become self-reliant. In our effort to keep education affordable & accessible we bootstrapped ourselves but now we are approaching corporates to donate generously towards scholarships to the needy & meritorious students under the CSR program. We plan to double our student strength in a couple of years.
We would be failing in our duty if we don’t acknowledge the contribution of all our past & present students to put their might to feather us with their achievements.
